Serving the Rio Grande Valley Since 1994Company BackgroundG.T. Blinds, Inc. started as a partnership between Glenn Hanks and Thomas Fuhrman and incorporated in 1997. Before starting the company, Glenn and Tom worked for major national window blind manufacturers, both having served as plant managers for such companies as Levolor, Joanna and Jencraft. Now, with a combined industry experience level of 50+ years, both are well versed in the history of the industry, but both are also equally committed to staying abreast of the new and exciting changes that come about each year. In addition to "G & T", Tom's wife Peggy has been an important part of the company since it's inception. Her experience in office management and customer service have greatly facilitated the growth of the company. Peggy also handles showroom decor and product rotation. When you phone in to the office, you will often times speak directly with Peggy. What We DoWe are a factory-direct manufacturer of custom made window treatments as well as a "Priority Dealer" for Hunter Douglas. Clearly stated, we do not manufacture Hunter Douglas products, but our status as a "Priority Dealer" ensures that you will get the best price on Hunter Douglas products. All products manufactured in our factory are G.T. Blinds private label. Company FutureEventually, the torch will be passed to the next generation. Our children have grown up helping around the shop and in the office. Some will choose to join the company and continue what we have started. The first to do so is Danielle Fuhrman. Danielle is currently working in sales and already has product knowledge that normally would take several years to develop. She attends all of the Hunter Douglas seminars and stays up to date on the newest products being offered. If you need help in selecting products or deciding on a color, we recommend that you request a free in home consultation with Danielle. Many customers have been so impressed with her recommendations on the window treatments, that they have requested her help in decorating other areas of the home.
