Free In-Home Consultations

We will bring samples and color swatches to your home and our sales consultant will measure your windows and prepare your free estimate in your home. This works fine if you have already narrowed down your products of interest. However, there are so many different types of window treatments and then many styles and options for each type, making it difficult to show all the possibilities in your home. If you are just getting started, we highly recommend that you visit our showroom first so that you can fully appreciate the range of options available. Some of our customers have selected one product in their home, only to change their minds after seeing all of the products in our showroom.

Professional Measuring

We do not charge for our professional measuring service. We take our measurements and assume all responsibility for the proper fit of the finished product. Most companies that sell over the internet, instruct their customers to measure the window in three places and use the smallest width and length. This is a "fool-proof" method of measuring, but it does not give you the best fit possible. Most windows are not perfectly square and the measuring method mentioned above can leave you with unsightly gaps around the blind. Our professionals are familiar with the different clearances required for each product and they will measure your windows to insure that the product that you select is made to give the best fit possible for each of your windows.

Blind and Shutter Repairs

We have the ability to repair any product that we sell. We also offer a repair service for products not purchased from G.T. Blinds. It should be noted that many window blind components are proprietary and will only fit the blinds made by that manufacturer. For instance, you cannot repair a Graber blind using Hunter Douglas parts. There are a number of common parts such as cords, ladder tapes, valance clips and installation brackets that will fit products made by many different manufacturers. We often replace these type of items on old blinds. For other types of repairs, If your old blind was made by Hunter Douglas, we should be able to get the part. If your old blind was made by another manufacturer, we may not be able to repair it. If you bring it by the showroom, we can look at it and at least I.D. the problem for you and perhaps head you in the right direction.

Professional Installation

Our skilled installers work directly for us and are covered under our insurance. They attend regular Hunter Douglas training seminars to insure that they stay abreast of all the latest installation techniques. We will never send a subcontractor or handyman to install your window treatments. When our installer arrives at your home, you can feel safe that he is a trusted member of our team and that he will treat you and your home with the utmost respect and care.
